VERSACOM INCORPORATED CERTIFIED BY PRESTIGIOUS WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE NATIONAL COUNCIL

Dearborn, Michigan, March 8, 2010 – Versacom Incorporated, a leading provider of innovative marketing and communications services for more than 35 years, recently received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). “We are proud to receive our certification from WBENC, a well-established organization that is the leading advocate in supporting and promoting WBEs to corporate America. WBENC certification is important to our current clients, and will help us develop new business partnerships,” said Sona Manzo, President, Versacom Incorporated.   “While we are pleased with our recent WBENC certification, it’s most important to us that clients do business with us because we excel at what we do, not just because we are woman-owned,” continued Manzo.
Over the past several years, American industry has provided increased focus on enhancing opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses. Independent third party certification by the WBENC became a natural outgrowth of this focus. WBENC monitors the national certifications process and is a guarantor to its supporting corporations that the certification process is diligently adhered to and the high standards maintained.

“The WBENC certification is an added benefit to those clients currently tracking their women-owned/minority spends in an effort to demonstrate their commitment to the continued development of supplier diversity programs. With that in mind, we are excited to add this to our list of certifications including Q1 and ISO 9001. To those of you who haven’t had the opportunity to work with us, we’d love to have you as a client, so we can show you first hand why our satisfied customer base continues to grow,” said Andrew Shoushanian, Officer and Operations Manager.
The WBENC was founded in 1997, and is the nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations.  WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. The WBENC certification is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the nation.  It is accepted by thousands of corporations within the country and a number of federal and government agencies.
The recent ownership change at Versacom keeps the core management team together with new roles and responsibilities. The new team includes Sona Manzo – President, Elizabeth Oknayan – Vice President, Andrew Shoushanian – Officer and Operations Manager and Martin Shoushanian – Director of Sales. “This is the next chapter in our corporate history representing a natural evolution of our commitment to bring only the highest levels of customer service to our clients,” said Manzo.
